Halloween 2012

It has been an eventful week.  First we had Harper's first Halloween school party. It was our first day to go to class but it was a family day so we thought it would be a great way to start and get to know everyone. So we dressed Harper up and went to class. We had hotdogs and picked out a pumpkin. The kids were adorable and I loved seeing them all dressed up having a great time. Harper had so much fun but reminded us many times that mommy and daddy were at school with Harper. These pictures crack me up. How impossible is a picture of 12 toddlers.

Then we decorated our pumpkins. We went with paint this year since the girls are so small and I think Harper enjoyed it. Messy Fun and on the upside no rotting pumpkins.

Then we had Halloween night. Harper was a Ladybug and Lillian was a Bumblebee. They were adorable. Brad took Harper around the neighborhood and Mimi, Lillian and I passed out candy at the house. Every year the crowd gets smaller and smaller. It is sad really. But we had fun talking to everyone that came by. Here are a few pictures of the two cutest bugs out there..

We hope everyone had an amazing Halloween.

Blase Family Farm 2012

This is the second year we have taken the kids to the Blase Family Farm. It opened two years ago in Rockwall and is a fun little afternoon stop . This year they had tickets on Groupon and I picked up a few for a great deal. This was Lillian's first trip and the kids always love it. They have  few animals to feed and a hayride. And then you get to pick out a pumpkin to take home and decorate. Harper had a blast with her cousins.

I guess next year I will probably be chasing two kids around the patch!

Four years of LOVE

FOUR YEARS AGO TODAY!

It is hard for me to believe we have been married for 4 years. Honestly it has gone by so fast and we have had so many changes I feel like we have been married forever. I am so honored to be married to my best friend and the love of my life. I have an amazing husband and father . I am so grateful that God blessed me with this wonderful man and amazing little family. We laugh because we decided together to get a new baby glider for our anniversary but instead ended up with a new leather rocking recliner. And let me tell you , everyone is laughing at us telling us that we are old. But it is so awesome and we love it. Big enough to cuddle with both my girls, spit up and spill proof and rocks with out a noise. I love you angel and cannot wait to spend many more together.  And for a laugh here is mommy enjoying her  new chair with both of her girls.

Final POC Fun

We left again for our final trip down with daddy to the coast. We have spent almost 6 weeks total, while I have been on maternity leave down in POC. It has not been easy to travel with two young kids back and fourth for long periods of time but totally worth it for all the family fun we have had. This final trip we really packed in the fun. WOW, I am still recovering. I will say I am so proud of myself for doing all of this with a potty training toddler and a 3 month old. A CHALLENGE for sure!We headed down to POC with our usual stop in Houston. We ended up taking Harper to the Houston zoo which was fun. It was way to big for us at this age but I think Harper enjoyed getting out and playing. We originally went because we thought they had a hippo and Harper is obsessed with Hippos but we did not even see it. Then we headed down to the coast. We did two trips to the Victoria zoo which was perfect.

It is small , and the perfect size for Harper.  Then after two weeks at the Coast we headed back through Houston and met up with Uncle Mike at the Houston Space Center. It was so awesome and I look so forward to going when the girls are older. I have to say when we got there I was a little intimated by the trip. We wanted to take a tram ride and we waited 40 minutes to get on and then it was an hour and a half long. I thought surely Lillian would have a food breakdown or Harper would have an accident. But both girls did amazing and it was super fun. We visited the training facility, mission control and an space rocker( as Harper would say).

Harper is really obsessed with the moon and the stars. Every night we have to go out and see them. Maybe she will grow up to be an astronaut.  Then as the last event we drove down the next day to Pleasure Pier in Galveston, Tx. We met up with everyone( Honey, Popo, Mimi, Patty, KK, and  Uncle Mike) and spent the whole day riding rides and playing games on the pier.

It was so fun and I actually had so much help I even rode a few rides myself. The pier is beautiful and so clean. I think everyone had such a great time. As maternity leave comes to an end I am getting a little depressed. We have had so much family time with everyone and I am going to miss seeing everyone so much. I love our family and they love our girls so much! So here are some fun pictures from our crazy , busy trip.

Lillian is 3 Months Old

Three things that have changed in a month..

1: You are getting so much bigger 10lbs at the last doctor's visit!
2: You smile and laugh at us and we just melt.
3: You roll over like crazy!

I guess I could probably go on forever considering you are so perfect ! At this time you are wearing 0-3 months clothes and still in size 1 diapers.Your eyes are bluish green. I think you are going to have your daddies green eyes but hard to say just yet. You are sleeping 3-4.5 hours at a time if we are lucky. Some nights less but we enjoy the longer ones for sure. You are becoming so social. I love it. I think that Harper is having more trouble with jealousy lately because we love making you smile and she is use to all the attention. You still love bath time and coo the whole time. I give you and big sister a bath together right now and look forward to the time you guys can start playing together. Sad to say you had your first ear infection this month.I hate when my babies are sick. Weirdly enough you had your first ear infection at the exact same time as your sister. As soon as I started giving you bottles at the exact age. Crazy. The only way I knew you were sick was you refused to breastfeed and man that stressed mommy out. Took us 3 days of antibiotics to get you to nurse again. You are so beautiful and have the most adorable personality. The reflux is still bothering you pretty bad. You are so hoarse, I hate it. It makes me so sad to hear your little hoarse voice. I wish there was more I could do. So here are a few pictures of my sweet little girl at 3 months old. Right now I still think you look just like Harper did at this age.

Love this face!

Fair Day 2012

It's fair time again. I love the fair. This year Honey and Popo had been wanting to go to Canton  so they were wanting to go to the fair the same weekend. The girls and I were planning to go to Canton but I knew it would be a lot to take both girls to Canton and the fair so we opted to stay home from Canton and cook a nice dinner. So after a day of shopping they headed on to Rockwall and we all sat down and ate mommies Brushetta stuffed chicken, mash potatoes and salad. Yes all the day before the fair. Haha!! So Friday morning, opening day at the fair , I decided I had to make a quick stop at the consignment sale going on in Dallas. I woke up at the crack of dawn took Mimi and Lillian with me as Harper slept, and went to go find some deals. I think Mimi was so shocked at how excited I was to go. The morning I was in a hurry there were 2 wrecks on I30 and I actually jumped a curb and crossed a median. I guess its okay if all in the name of a good consignment sale. I ended up getting some great buys before rushing home to pick up everyone and head to breakfast. We ate Chiloso's and then made our way to the fair. It was suppose to be cool and overcast but ended up being hot. I was slightly worried because Lillian is still so little but we did great considering we had a 2 month old and a toddler. It was the first year Harper could ride all the rides and she had a blast. Somewhat timid until the first ride and then we rode everything in the children's area. She played lots of games and we even left with a life size Scooby Doo. As for food we tried: Fried Jambalaya, Fried Beer, Fried Biscuits and Gravy, Cinnamon Roll, and Frozen sweet tea. We also had some corn dogs but those are just a fair stable. We had a great time and love this time of year . I am already ready for the next fair. I am sure Harper feels the same way.

Weekend in Houston

Last week we headed back down to the coast for two weeks. I feel like we have been traveling so much but I feel so blessed to be able to do it and we are loving the family time. We stopped in Houston as we usually do . Brad had been down at the coast so we traveled to Houston just Mimi , the girls and I and met up with PoPo and Honey to have a birthday dinner. Larry, Kelly and I all have birthday's within a few days so we had a nice dinner and exchanged  gifts. Then on Friday KK had off so Brad drove up from the coast and we all met at the Houston zoo to see the animals. That zoo turned out to be so big we could have never made it around the whole thing. We decided that we would do the children's part and then head home. That is about all the zoo these two little ones could take. It was hot and humid and believe it or not the Dallas zoo has a better children's area. It was really nice but not as interactive as the Dallas zoo. But I think it will be an awesome zoo for when the kids are little older. Harper did touch her first snake, I was shocked she actually did it. She is so brave, I still wouldn't do that.  So here are a few pictures from the day. I honestly didn't take many. Lillian was kinda cranky and I was stressed that she was to hot so the camera just did not happen.

This picture makes me laugh. Mimi rented a scooter and she zipped around the zoo in style.

Then when we got back to Pearland uncle mike helped me find a powerwheel on Craigslist for the coast. It was perfect and only cost 35$. Awesome deal and Harper loves it.
