I cannot believe that my first baby is already 3 years old. It feels like just yesterday I had gone in to the Dr. for my last visit and found out we would be meeting our first born child that day. I remember the first time I laid eyes on you and completely fell head over heels for you. I remember seeing your daddy holding you for the first time and thinking you were going to be so unbelievably loved. You have changed our lives forever angel and you continue to brighten our lives daily. You have grown so much and you are learning new things every day. We had your 3 year check up today and you are getting so big.

They did your first eye exam which you passed and Dr. D ended up having to do a head to toe checkup because you were running fever as well that day. Poor Harper had to have a blood count and lead test too. So after a strep swab and a finger prick you were over this visit to say the least. You are right on track and excelling in all the areas they went over with me from drawing circles to tracing lines. You are singing lots of songs and following instructions. I have to say the only thing we fudged was that you are sleeping with us these days. We officially gave in to this battle two months ago now. It just seemed overwhelming when your daddy goes out of town I feel guilty and so I let you stay and when he gets home he is so happy to see you and feels guilty making you go to your room when he just got home. So after all the back and fourth we just gave up. I think we will attempt to move you back to your room again but we may just wait and put you two girls in one room together. We will see and for now we love having you close . You are wearing size 2 T clothes now and size 7 shoes. You love playing outside and love seeing your friends. It is funny how you have acted around your birthday this year. You love having a birthday and planning a party but overall you have been shy about gifts. Most gifts I have had to open for you. Cracks me up! This year your birthday fell on a Monday and daddy had to go out of town later that day so we spent most of the day doing some fun stuff. First off we woke up early and got dressed and went to IHOP to have some chocolate chip smiley face pancakes for breakfast. YUM! I think you loved them.
Pretty sure she ate all the chocolate chips off the top first. And isn't her little birthday princess pin look adorable. Thanks to Mimi for finding that for our special birthday princess.Then we headed back home to open a few gifts from us and mimi. I wanted to save her big gift for the party but definitely wanted her to have some stuff to open on her real birthday so we had fun opening a few gifts.
Of coarse she had some help for little sister!
After opening and playing with some of her new toys we loaded up and Mimi watched little sister so we could take you to your first movie. I had been wanting to take you to a movie for the last few months and so it seemed like the perfect day to go for it. I have to say you were scared at first . It was dark in the theater and you did not like that at all but after the movie started you came around and actually enjoyed it. We bought you a little snack pack and some M&M's and you sat in your chair like a big girl and watched the movie. We ended up seeing " The Croods" which was really cute. Some people have the craziest imaginations. It was such a creative movie .

Then after the movie we headed home to play with your new water table outside that Mimi got you.
After that daddy had to leave to head down to POC and so Mommy made you a homemade princess cake and we had dinner and sang " Happy Birthday ". You practiced blowing your candles out a few times so you would do it perfect at your party and then we took a few forks and pigged out on that pink cake :).
Then just before bed my girl and I had our first game of Don't break the ice.
First of many times we will play games together. I love this girl so much and I cannot believe how fast she is growing up. Feels like yesterday I held her for the first time and now she is a beautiful, smart, funny and joyous 3 year old. We love you sweet angel. Happy Birthday!!
