Zoo Time

The weather has been slightly cooler so we decided it was time to venture back out to the zoo. Now this was officially the first zoo trip with both girls alone and it went surprisingly well. We did meet Deeanna and her mother with the girls so I was not truly alone but without Brad or my mom to help was enough of a challenge for me. Lillian was great and slept most of the time and Harper had a blast as usual. She loves the Dallas zoo . The children's area never gets old. She continues to love animals and I hope Lillian does to. I have always loved animals and I love watching my girls have some of the same interests. So here are a few pictures from our first outing to the zoo as 3 !

We love going to the zoo and are ready to enjoy the fall weather there. I am sure we will go a few more times before winter sets in.

Team Palmtree

This weekend Palm Tree was a sponser of a fishing tournament down in Port O Connor. We had two boats go out with friends and family and half were past customers we have built for. I guess I think it is pretty awesome that we have such a great relationship with our customers. I wanted to go so bad but with Lillian being so small it just wasn't an option. So next year I already cannot wait to participate. Charles, Cheri, and Roxie went with everyone and long story short we did have some good catch but our best fish  turned out to be actually .2 of an inch to big. SERIOUSLY how funny is that. Disqualified for being to big, I guess that's the way to go if you are going to be disqualified. We met them when they came in to weigh in so Harper could see the fish and she thought they were interesting for sure. She refused to get to close or touch them. The company that sponsors it every year had a big cookout and some things for the kids out here at The Sanctuary so we ate some food and went swimming. Overall awesome job TEAM PALM TREE!!

Twinkies

Both girls at 2 months old! What do you think? I think they sure look alot alike.

Lillian is 2 Months Old

I have no idea how time can go by so quick. It has been an amazing two months getting to know you sweet girl. It feels crazy to say this but I feel like you have been a part of our lives forever. I still think you look just like your sister did at this age. Both so beautiful ! You still have dark blue eyes and dark brown hair. And last time we weighed you , you weighed 8 lbs 9 oz so I am sure you are somewhere around 9 lbs now. You are becoming more spoiled and love to be held which is okay with me. You are still having trouble with reflux but we are managing. We have you on Prevacid still and it seems to help. You love bath time and every night seem so happy to be swaddled in that warm water. Sometimes we all three girls take a bath together and I love to see how happy both of you are to have mommy in the bath . I look forward to the days I can put you both in the tub together and watch you both play. Nights are about the same. I actually think you may be going through a growth spurt because you have been up the last two nights between 2-2.5 hours all night. You are still wearing NB or 0-3 month clothes and wearing NB or size 1 diapers. One thing that cracks me up is that you hate the hiccups. Anytime you get the hiccups you get so mad. You are such a calm baby unless your tummy hurts or you have the hiccups. Your smiling so much and cooing back at us when we talk to you which is so fun. Harper tries so hard to make you laugh and it is so cute. You love to watch your sister. We love you baby girl and your two month appointment is not for almost two weeks because we have been at the coast so I promise to post your two month stats when we have them. So here are Lillian's TWO MONTH pictures. And also a few pictures of you in  the bloomers your MIMI made for you.

Ponytails, Cooking and Fun

We headed back down to the coast after meet the teacher and a few doctors appointments. Brad had gone down to POC the day before so Mimi and I did the trip alone with the girls for the first time. We drove down to Houston first and stayed the night with Uncle Mike and KK. Harper and Lillian had a really rough night. They both had a cold ,which we went to the pediatrician for before we left, and they just had trouble breathing through there stuffy noses. So after being up most of the night we just decided to drive on to the coast at 6 am. OMG this mommy was exhausted but I knew the girls would at least sleep in the car if we went on.  We are still trying to figure out the best time and way to travel down to the coast with the kids. We got here and Uncle Mike and KK ended up coming down for the weekend to hang out.

Love these precious girls.

It was fun and we did some shopping , cooking , swimming and we flew a whale kite with Harper down at the beach .

We also have had lots of nature the last week. We have always had scorpions down here but I have never found a live one. OMG it was right in the kitchen. I freaked out and the bug guy made a visit. Then we found a hummingbird in the garage trapped in a web and Mike and I saved him and set him free. He was adorable.

Then the next morning we found  a snake on the back porch and Mimi killed it. Geez thats alot of nature for one weekend. This past week we did some fun things around the house. It rained bad for two days so I did some cooking with my girl and she loved it. I waited for Lillian to take a nap and then Harper and I cooked some Chocolate Chip and Walnut cookies from scratch .

They were so yummy. We also went into town and bought Harper some new toys to play with down at the coast and she has had fun playing with those.

We also made Harper a fort in the bedroom while it rained and I have to say this was my first fort. I have some practicing to do .

Then the other day I decided it was time to try the Pony tail again. I was such a proud mommy when I actually was able to pull most of her hair back.

I swear there are 10 strands in it but I was so thrilled. She looks so grown up! But it doesn't stay long so we need a few more months to grow. Also in the last week down at the coast Lillian is smiling and cooing.
Isn't that silly face adorable...

Oh it is so fun. I love this sweet little girl. After being up all night and being so tired seeing her face light up with excitement makes it all worth it.  And we have enjoyed a little sister love as well.

We have been having a good time down at the coast! I love all this family time...

Our first Meet the Teacher

I cannot explain how excited and worried I am to embrace this new stage for Harper. Even though it is not school it sure feels like it. She will be going Tuesday's and Thursdays from 9-5. So we went to our first meet the teacher. I was so nervous and we have been talking about school but I am sure she doesn't understand. We got up early and took a few pictures before we headed out. I look back and already laugh because for some crazy reason I wrote MOD instead of MDO on her chalkboard. Seriously where was my head. First meet the teacher and I couldn't spell. Go figure I did not notice until a few days later. Oh well. I guess Mother's Outing Day is what we will go with! Haha....

Anyways she was adorable and seemed to love school. We decided with our pediatrician to hold her from starting until Lillian was a little older. So we are going to start in the end of October.  We have to pay the whole time to keep her spot but I feel like it is worth it. After going to meet the teacher I felt so much better about sending her. I think she will love it and they have so many neat things planned for the kids. I think I will still cry like a baby the first day she goes. I know Harper and I am sure she will cry and they will have to pull her from my leg. But I wanted to post some of her first meet the teacher pictures and I will post First day of MDO pictures in October.

Harper's Cubby!

And of coarse little sister had to dress like her big sister for support. She looked pretty adorable her self that day.
