Lillian Mae Warren Arrives

38 weeks and Last Belly Picture!

  HR: 146
 Cravings: NPO
 Weight : 14 lbs
 Contractions: Just a few.

What an amazing day we celebrated Friday. I cannot believe it has now come and gone so quickly. It all started Friday morning when we headed to Dr. N's appointment. We had everything packed in the car just in case we ended up delivering which ended up being a good choice. We had an early appointment at 8:45 and when we arrived as usual my BP was really high. Dr. N came in and said he thought at this point with Lillian being 38 weeks the best thing would be to just deliver. So we headed down to Labor and Delivery to start the process. We checked in and called all the family to tell them that it was the day and I remember thinking about Harper a million times. I couldn't wait for her to get to the hospital because we left before she woke up so we wouldn't upset her leaving without her. Then it took a while to get an IV . Geez 5 sticks with an 18 gauge is no fun. But we finally got the IV and then the wait until they could take me back for the C/S. Mimi, Cici, and Harper arrived about 12 and I was able to get some sweet kisses right before they took me back to the OR at 12:30. We took our last family photo as a family of 3 and then Harper busted in to tears as Brad and I walked out. I broke down and cried the whole way to the OR and all I remember is this really sweet lady walking in and telling me that she was completely fine and not crying at all. I don't think I will ever forget her because all I could think of as I sat in the OR is how sad Harper was , so she really helped me to relax. Then at 1:10 we heard the first cry of our new sweet baby girl Lillian Mae Warren. Perfect and precious in every way. Brad jumped right up and headed over to see her and I was so relieved to hear her cry and know she was doing so well. We laugh because she literally popped out hungry and ready to eat. Brad told Dr. N " to hurry up and fix mommy up because Lillian was ready to eat". And she did every hour all night long that first night . I have to say she looks so much like Harper did when she was born but they do look a little different. She weighed 6 lbs and was 19 inches long. So just a tiny bit bigger than her sister. We are so in love and already feel like she has been a part of our lives forever. It is crazy to think we are a family of 4 now. I ask Brad all the time " Can you believe we have two kids" and we both are just floored at how blessed we are. Life is great and we feel so honored to have these two perfect little girls. Here are some pictures from that special day. I will never forget this day as I will never forget the day Harper was born.

Pink Dinner Party to Celebrate Lillian

Pink Party Time

On Thursday night Mimi thought it would be fun to have a Pink Dinner Party for Lillian for fun. Harper had the best time. We had all pink dinner foods which was fun. Mimi made pink lemonade marinated chicken which sounds so gross but was so good. And then she made some pink potato salad which has Catalina dressing in it to make it pink. And then for dessert we had Pink lemonade ice box cake . It was all so fun and then we started painting Lillian's belly cast with Harper. We had a great time celebrating this new baby girl and cannot wait to meet her. Here are a few pictures from our Pink Party.

Bedrest Update

Well things are about the same . I have been continuing to have Blood pressure issues and basically have to lay in bed to keep it down. We did have my 37 week appointment on Tuesday and Dr. N sent us down to Baylor Hospital to go to Observation. There they monitored Lillian who looked great and drew some labs to make sure I was not in Pre-eclampsia and monitor my BP's. The lab work came back good which was a huge relief but the blood pressure is high. So I have another appointment tomorrow at 8:50 and if it continues to be bad we will probably see about delivering early. I am 38 weeks tomorrow so here I am praying that if we do deliver that she does great. The Nicu nurse inside of me will worry until she is happy and healthy in my arms. Brad and Mimi are running around like crazy to get things prepared in case and my family is on standby. I have a feeling it will probably happen at my next appointment as my blood pressures are not any better, but we shall see. As for Harper she is doing great. I have been overwhelmingly emotional today just thinking this could be our last day as a family of 3. I hope she knows how much we love her and how hard it will be to be in the hospital away from her. I think she is super excited about seeing the family and probably wont miss me at all. I am half excited to see what she thinks about having a sister and half scared she will not handle it well. Either way I know she will grow to love her and I just hope and pray they grow to be the best of friends over time. 37 week stats: Weight : 13 lbs ( no change) HR: 148 Cravings: Honestly now not craving much. Bad reflux and a little nauseated at times. I did crave a chocolate yougart ice cream with almonds the other day.. It was yummy too.. Everything is packed. Lists for Harper are written, with clothes laid out. Cord blood box is in and everyone is on standby. What else could we do ... Probably nothing!!! Says this OCD mother from bed... I will say that yesterday I told Brad we should probably try to do a belly cast like we did with Harper because who knows when how much longer I will be preggo. So we did it . I think tonight we may let Harper paint it for fun. And I thought I would post a few pics . The Belly Cast
Soon to be BIG SISTER!
My favorite nap buddy!!
We will keep everyone posted on the arrival of Lillian. Please pray for a safe delivery and healthy baby.

Pregnancy Troubles

Well it has been a crazy week.
I went in Monday to see Dr. N and my blood pressure was worse than last week, and my ankles were so swollen from the last two days at work that he decided it was time to keep me home. Sorry these are kinda gross but I had to remember how bad it was.

So I came home Monday after my appt. thinking this won't be bad, take it easy and monitor home BP's and maybe play with Harper . Turns out it has been a very challenging week. I found that even at home my BP's are running high and that if I did much they were to high. I would fix lunch and then they would be so bad I would have to lay on my left side for 15 minutes to get them to come down. So I have been struggling all week to balance a stir crazy toddler , a house, and horrible blood pressure. Finally today I decided it was time to call Dr. N and go over my BP's and he immediately decided complete bedrest was for me. Thank GOD Brad was already on his way home because all the family has been in Hawaii since last Tuesday and Mimi has been between two households trying to keep things afloat. So now Im stuck in bed until Ms. Lillian makes her appearance. I am just now 37 weeks so I would love to at least keep her in one more week, but mainly I just want us both to be healthy and happy. Dr. N has given me strict instructions and I am hoping nothing happens this weekend while he is off but I have an appointment Tuesday so I promise to keep everyone posted. I have a new respect for all the moms I see in the NICU that are on bedrest for long periods of time with kids. It has been so challenging without alot of help to keep her occupied and keep myself calm. So we are praying for low blood pressures and healthy mom and baby and for a happy toddler in these crazy times. Funny how I had so much planned the last three weeks and now I am just happy if she has someone to play with so she is happy. No aquarium or Museums for us. So what do you do on bedrest , well you shop online :)! Which I have done more than enough of the last few days. You do lots of coloring!
You take lots of naps with your favorite toddler!
You play at the pool with MIMI !
And you play in the Bathtub alot!
It is amazing what you can find around the house to do . If anything changes I will post as soon as possible. But for now we are hoping to keep our scheduled dates. Which is two weeks away!!

Lillian's Sneak Peek

Look at this sweet face! Here are two pictures from our little sneak peek last Friday. I cannot wait to hold her and compare the pictures to her face. I love this girl already and we cannot wait to meet her.

I think she is going to look just like Harper! We shall see!!

Gaylord Texan Stay-cation

For Father's Day this year we decided to surprise Brad with a night away at the Gaylord. We had never stayed at the Gaylord before. It has always been the Great Wolf :)... So I got us a night away so that we could spend some much needed time together as a family of 3 . We headed out Thursday morning and drove out to Grapevine. I wanted to have lunch with Harper at the Rainforest Cafe. She is so into animals that I knew she would love it and she did as expected. We almost couldn't keep her at the table because she wanted to look at all the animals and noises they were making. Made for an interesting lunch but I was so happy she loved it. Her favorite part was the alligator at the entrance. I swear she talked about him for two days . I was sad I did not snap a picture for her. Then we did a small amount of shopping  and rode a train in the mall before heading over to check in our room. We unloaded and headed down to the new pool. They had  a tiny little area for small children and that is all she needed. She had a blast ! She played in the water until she passed out for a quick nap. Then we had a nice dinner as a family and walked around to look at all the train stuff. They had a cowboy on stilts and a gold cowboy which Harper was scared of and a balloon maker who made her a poodle. Then we rented Happy Feet 2 in the room to relax before bed. It was a fun and relaxing day and we all had a great time. Here are some fun pictures of the day.

36 week Check up

36 weeks, 3 weeks to go , hopefully 22 days to go . But who is counting right? :)
I had my appointment this Tuesday and here are the stats

HR : 141
Weight: 13 lbs ( yikes)
Cravings: Sweets, and Cheese

It was a rough week prior . I have been having hip pain and just not feeling great. I had a cold and after working two days my ankles where so swollen. When I went in for my appointment my BP was a little high but after laying on my left side a while it was better. Dr. N had me have a Biophysical profile to check on Lillian and she looked great. She was breathing , cord looked great and fluid level was normal. I wish they would have given me a weight. But the lady wouldn't  do it. Kinda stupid if you ask me. But anyways I was so happy to see she is going good . He also checked me because with Brad traveling I wanted to make sure all these Braxton Hicks were not changing my cervix, Although with Harper I never changed and still ruptured. I was no change so I was glad to hear thoughts are that Daddy will be here for delivery. He has one more week of travel and then hopefully will not have to leave for a few weeks. We checked my GBS status and drew some blood and I was on my way. I have another appointment Monday , we are keeping a close eye on the BP and I am trying to take it easy. As easy as it I can with a toddler and house work and a job...:) !! I am super excited though because I had some credit at the Rockwall sono place and we decided to take one last look at Lillian before she is born so we are having a quick 3D sono of her tomorrow at 12:00. I am super thrilled to see her face one last time before we hold this sweet girl. I am getting everything together. Major nesting going on at this house. I have almost everyone's bag packed and bottles washed. Ordering our cord blood kit tomorrow and took care of all my LOA paperwork. I cannot believe our lives are about to change again. Every night I pray how grateful I feel to be the mother of these two beautiful girls. I know that not everyone can have children and I am overwhelming blessed and have so much love for them I cannot even explain it. I am getting more and more anxious about how Harper will take it all. Right now she keeps asking to see Lillian and seems excited but I hope it stays that way. I hope she always knows how much we love her and how we cannot wait to see how these girls will be friends forever. So here is a quick 36 week belly shot and we will post some pics of Lillian as soon as possible.

Splash Park 2012
