First trip to the Park..

So today Brad and I had a day off and we wanted to get out of the house. It was suppose to be warm but I didnt realize how windy it would turn out. We decided to give it a try and go to the park with Harper to swing. We loaded up her new Radio flyer wagon and lots of blankets and headed out. We didnt last long. It was way to windy and cold but we did let her swing for a few minutes and she loved it. I can't wait to go again in the summer . She is going to love it, and we have a park really close to our house. So here are a few pictures from our first attempt at the Park.

CRAWLING...

Well, for a few weeks now Harper has been scooting backwards and sideways but never forward. Finally this past week she figured it out and we have a crawler. Growing up to fast I swear. She loves the remote and any cell phone in the room. So watch out it will disappear. I have it all on video and still cant figure out how to upload a video so here are a few pictures ! Congrats BABY GIRL , you are a mover...

See how happy I am now that I can get to anything you don't want me in...

Merry Christmas 2010

This year for the holidays we travelled everywhere. Harper was a popular girl this year.

Stop #1

First stop Grandpa and Grandma Harrell's house. So we woke early and headed out to Houston. We spent two days hanging out with family and opening presents. Harper had a blast opening gifts . She loved the wrapping paper more than the gift itself. :) She received so many awesome gifts, she got a really cool Radio Flyer wagon with a tent on top and a cooler in which we cant wait to take to the zoo, a super cute pair of Toms pink sparkle shoes and I could probably go on all night.. :) We almost needed a Uhaul to get home... We ate way to much food and got to visit Grandpa at work... And let me just say the girls team finally had a victory over the boys in the gingerbread decorating contest this year.

Award winning gingerbread train!

So we headed back after two days and unloaded and repacked for Henderson.
Stop #2
Henderson

So we left out early Wednesday morning and made it in time for a wonderful lunch at Mimi's house. Great Grandma and Grandpa White headed up and met us for lunch . We ate so much food we were stuffed. Mimi cooked an awesome Roast and salad and all kinds of desserts! We then played some fun Christmas games and opened gifts again. By this time Mimi had already been giving Harper gifts for a week so she was a PRO at getting in the gifts. So after a fun day hanging out with MIMI and Great grandparents we headed home with all kinds of fun things to keep her busy in her car seat...

So on Thursday we stayed home and prepared to get ready for Michael and Kristi to come up and spend the holidays with us. They got into town Thursday afternoon and we all got ready and headed out for Candlelight service. The service was beautiful and Harper did pretty good. She slept for the first 30 minutes and then we had to stand in the back for the last part but overall she did great. On Friday we celebrated our Christmas . I had to work Christmas Day so we did our Christmas on Christmas eve. We read our Christmas book Mimi got us and played Christmas bingo all in our Christmas pajamas. We had a nice lunch and again way to much food and then played some kinect. I will always remember Mimi skiing on the kinect , it was so funny. Harper opened another stack of gifts and Brad got us a membership at little gym. I cant wait to take Harper for the first time. The rest of the night we took it easy and I got ready for work the next day. Christmas day was super hard to leave my family but I had a great day and after work we headed to our last stop CiCi and Papa's house.

So last stop for the holidays was CiCi and Papa's house. We went over there on Christmas day . I actually worked Christmas day so I went over after work but Harper was able to wait on mommy to open her gifts and I was so grateful not to miss that part. Again she got so much wonderful stuff. Cici and papa bought Harper her gate which is now on her playroom door and some safety stuff we needed and she also got her Leap frog learning table which she loves. We then had dinner and played with all our new toys and then home to bed . I had to work on Sunday so early to bed for me. We had such a great holiday this year and it was filled with so much family and fun. This year has been amazing with the birth of Harper and our first Christmas. God has blessed us so much this year.

First Duckie Bath

So we recently changed Harper from her baby whale tub to her new bigger girl DUCKIE tub. She loves it and she splashes and kicks. Now that she sits up so great we thought it would be a fun change for her. Uncle Mike and Aunt Kristi gave it to her. So here are a few pictures from her first Duckie Bath.

6 months

Six months old.. Apart of our lives for half a year already. Brad and I sometimes go back in time and remember the day you entered our lives and we cant believe how fast it has gone by. You are getting so independent. I'm not sure I like it :) Always on the move , grabbing and squirming. You are so curious, and so smart. We started giving you some developmental toys and you love it. You are now sitting up so great and already you are trying to crawl. We got some video of you today. You can get up on your knees and rock now so any day now I'm sure you are going to take off on me.. I'm so not prepared for this, I guess I better baby proof this house quick. You already scoot around the room backwards. Its so funny. Your favorite toy is a pink box of blocks. We keep giving you new toys and you always go back to your favorite blocks. Really I think you love the box and not the blocks. You had your 6 month shots and you weighed 15 lbs 4.5 ounces. You are up to the 45 % in weight, you love to eat.. We started you on solids this week and you aren't too sure about it quite yet. Carrots !! yummy... Your little face puckers up every time I feed you , like you are shocked it has flavor. I think next week we will try PEAS... We finally had to do cry it out to get you to sleep in your room . It was the hardest thing I have ever done and I'm pretty sure I cried more than you did. Thank God for daddy's help. He was so sad too but stayed strong for the both of us.. But overall you did great and now we put you down at 8:30 or so and you sleep until about 6:30 . Some nights you wake up since you are teething but overall we are making progress. Speaking of teeth!!! We have some little bumps and you are teething bad. Dr. B said it could come out any day now or it could still be weeks. I feel bad for you because you are so miserable . I hope we see them sooner than later. I guess the saying " All I want for Xmas is my Two front teeth" is true for us this year. You are talking like crazy. You have been saying mama for a few weeks but now you have added dada and gaga. You have started sucking your thumb recently. It started when we did cry it out. I guess its your way of soothing yourself . You love TV . I have to limit you everyday because you are IN LOVE with moose on Nick Jr. It is so funny , when he starts talking you immediately stop what you are doing and start talking baby talk to the t.v. I'm going to say this is your first ROMANCE. HaHa...We are so in love with you, this age is a blast. You laugh so hard and baby talk to us and we just melt. MiMi bought you so many xmas gift and every day this past week she gave you one early.. She cant resist you , as none of us can. Today was a really special day for us as well. We took you to church for the first time. I haven't taken you yet in fear that you would get sick . But you had your flu shot this month so I braved out and we took you . You loved the music and then fell asleep during the sermon . I hope we can continue to take you as often as possible and that you grow to know GOD in your heart. Today I felt so blessed to be your mother. I have been thanking God for you since the day you were born. Well , here are a few of my favorite pictures from the month. Erica is coming on Wednesday to take your 6 month pictures so I will post them soon.

Favorite Toy..

First try of real food.

You and Daddy watching the Cowboys play.

Getting you some Santa beard. You weren't scared at all. He just had to pry your fingers from his white beard.

Playing in my new playroom

This past week my mother came to hang out with me while Brad was in Port O Conner and we decided to finally paint the half bath and the playroom. We did not know what we were getting ourselves into with a 6 month old but it was fun and I'm so glad we did it. The playroom has lots of work to finish out still but we put all of her stuff in it and I love having somewhere to put it all . Before I felt like it was all over the house. She has her own space for toys and every morning we come play and watch nick Jr. She is sitting up so great these days and just recently she really loves toys. So I'm glad just in time for Christmas we finished the paint so all of the goodies SANTA brings will have a place to go. I promise to post pictures of the room when it is finished. I have these great counting cards that are the theme and it will be unisex for any other little ones that come along . Waiting on some decals for the walls but cant wait to show the final product. So here are a few fun playing pictures I took yesterday of Harper enjoying her new room. We bought some shelves and storage bins and she loves them.Or lets just say, she loves the bins alot, more than toys... Now we are going back to get more because we already have those full :) . Spoiled little princess!!

Thanksgiving 2010

This year was Harper's first Thanksgiving... And even though she didn't stuff her self with food , she had a great time seeing all the family! We started out by going to Henderson that Tuesday and had Thanksgiving with my grandparents. Harper rode the RHINO for the first time and we drove all over the farm showing her the cows and beautiful changing trees. And then on Thursday we went over to the Warren's and had dinner with Cici and Papa. We are pretty sure we gained tons of weight that week but it was all so good. I love Thanksgiving... This year we have so much to be thankful for. Thanksgiving was so much more fun with Harper ... I am already looking forward to next year.
